Finally, the third game released for the celebration is The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2. This upcoming sequel to the critically acclaimed 2017 title promises to take Link on an even more, epic adventure through Hyrule.

Zelda 35th anniversary : The Characters

The Zelda 35th anniversary celebration is about the iconic characters that made the series such a fan favorite. From the beloved Princess Zelda to the notorious villain, Ganon, many memorable characters have left an impression on players.

Let’s look at some of these beloved characters from the series and how they’ve evolved over the years.

Princess Zelda is a central character in most of the Zelda games. She is often depicted as a brave princess who is wise beyond her years.

Over the years, she has been depicted in many ways, including as a teenager in The Wind Waker and as a female Link in Breath of the Wild. She often plays an important role in the story and holds important items or keys needed to progress.

Link is the main protagonist in the series and is often seen as a brave hero who battles monsters and villains to save the kingdom. His signature weapon is a sword and shield combination, which he uses to battle his foes.

Over the years, his design has changed, with recent games featuring an adult version of him as opposed to his classic childlike design.
Ganon is the primary antagonist in many Zelda games and is an embodiment of evil and chaos.

He often seeks to take over the kingdom and is a powerful force to be reckoned with. His designs have also changed over the years, but he remains a formidable foe no matter what form he takes.

These three characters have become mainstays in the Zelda series, making them integral parts of its Zelda 35th anniversary celebration. So here’s to another 35 years of epic adventures with these beloved characters! A Celebration Of The Classic Characters

Throughout the Zelda series, you’ll find plenty of familiar faces that will leave you laughing and crying along their journey. Whether it’s Epona, King Harkinian, Groose, Vaati, or Grogba – everyone has had their own moment in the spotlight.

Here are just a few of the popular favorites for your viewing pleasure.

Ganondorf (AKA Gannon)
He might seem like just an average guy out for revenge when he first appears in Ocarina of Time, but we quickly learn that this isn’t so when he steals Link’s soul and turns him into a Deku Scrub (yes, please).

And yet somehow, it only gets worse from there; Ganondorf eventually finds himself committing countless atrocities without any regard for morality before finally getting cornered by Link after his long-awaited showdown with Zelda.

Zelda 35th anniversary: The Legacy Of Zelda Game

Zelda II is the reason why I am an original Zelda fan (and Zelda II may also be why I am so excited about games in the first place).

A Link Between Worlds is easily one of the most accessible The Legend of Zelda games to newcomers, but it is entirely in the way that it re-invents the formula for the series as a whole, both narratively and mechanically.

A Link Between Worlds was released on the Nintendo 3DS in November 2013, with a story set in the same Hyrule version of A Link to the Past, but years after.

The original The Legend of Zelda started this series. Since The Original Legend of Zelda was released in 1986, the series has expanded to 19 installments across all major Nintendo video game consoles and numerous spin-offs.

When The Legend of Zelda was released in 1986, it fully used all the technological advances video games had at that time. It provided an experience unlike any other that had preceded it.

Not every title has been on target, but the quality of Zelda titles, particularly those developed by the A-team behind the franchise, has been remarkably consistent.

Mihoyo has covered you with Genshin Impact, a game that takes many cues from Nintendo’s last few Zelda adventures.

The included Links crossbow training game is an excellent example of Nintendo’s willingness to take a risk on the Legend of Zelda experimentally that Nintendo would not take on its other properties.

It stands to reason that a Zelda title built from the ground up for Nintendo Switch would fully use the hardware’s unique features.

The upcoming title, Links Awakening, is Nintendo’s first Zelda title on a Nintendo Game Boy handheld, as well as the first set outside the magic land of Hyrule, and one which does not include Princess Zelda.

After Ocarina of Time, the deteriorating timeline continues with The Imprisoning War, followed by A Link to the Past events, Oracle of Seasons, and Oracle of Ages, Links Awakening, The Legend of Zelda, and its direct sequels.

Set out on a quest to discover the Triforce, kill Ganon, and rescue Princess Zelda in Shigeru Miyamoto’s timeless action adventure that completely redefined the action role-playing game genre.

Like The Legend of Zelda, this game has you traveling between the light and dark worlds, and at first, the story seems to present itself as another classic instance of Ganon trying to bring down the world.

A link has always grown in strength and abilities throughout each original Zelda game, but it is always with the help of new items and a more skillful sword — Zelda II is the only one in which you get to choose how you evolve as a fighter.

Hyrule Warriors, a crossover game that blends Nintendo The Legend of Zelda series setting with the gameplay from Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors series, was announced for the Wii U video game system in December 2013 and was released in North America in September 2014.
